A Flower Farm in Manchester
American prairie vibes we said. A summer’s day surrounded by open English fields, the sun shining and the wind whispering in all its sweetness. A perfect way to celebrate mother and babe in the gentle embrace of the mother of all.
For Alice’s sweet pregnancy shoot we chose a flower farm just outside of Manchester belonging to a friend of mine who was happy to open her space and welcome us with open arms. We moved around the space, embracing the open fields with their grasses and laughed in the presence of the flowers.
Taken on a mix of analogue formats.

CHAPTER ONE: IN THE FIELDS
Atop the flower farm lies an open field of long grasses and wild flowers. We began our shoot there, even welcoming in Al’s partner for a handful of photos.
CHAPTER TWO: WITH THE FLOWERS
After rolling in the long grasses, we returned to my friend’s flower farm where Al stood among the flowers, in the gentle presence of the dahlias, cosmos, nigella and cow parsley.
