The Vines of Rochester, Kent

On a beautiful August afternoon in the historic town of Rochester, Kent, Abi and Ben married surrounded by their closest friends and family. The morning sun promised a warm day, ideal for their vision of exploring the city for their portraits. The hours before their ceremony held emotions of all sorts, joy and nerves in equal measure. A first look and private vows, any nerves that had been were no longer. The day flowed, love and sunlight surrounded them. Joy from every angle.

CHAPTER ONE

Abi’s day began surrounded by her bridesmaids (who may be the kindest and most fun group of people I’ve ever met) and her mum, all getting ready together in a cosy room away from the busy prep of the venue. A room filled with laughter and love.

Ben’s morning felt a little less calm, making sure the right things were happening at the right time and that everyone was happy and knew what to do. As the day progressed, I loved watching him ease into the flow of his wedding.

Before their ceremony, Abi and Ben met in a private room for a first look and to exchange their vows. A few tears were shed and I imagine more fell as we waited outside while they shared their vows in complete privacy.

CHAPTER TWO

A short but beautiful ceremony in the venue gardens began with Abi walking down the aisle with her mum, passing their most dear friends and family. There were smiles all round, laughter and tears.

CHAPTER 03

Following their ceremony was time to bask in the newness of their marriage with their loved ones and to take portraits so that they could remember this day and their love forever.

Just around the corner from The Vines of Rochester was Rochester Castle, a stunning and magical place where Abi and Ben had asked for photos. Together we walked the short distance with their dog Lomit chatting about their honeymoon plans and how the flowers on Abi’s sleeves were from a top she had worn on their first date.
