A Romantic Lesbian Wedding at Alrewas Hayes

This was a styled wedding shoot at Alrewas Hayes and not a real wedding.

As autumn was beginning to show, I organised a styled wedding shoot at Alrewas Hayes to match the coming of the new season. This was the first shoot I had organised myself and I was so anxious, I don't know how wedding planners do it, I have so much respect for their job!

This shoot was put together by the most incredible team of wedding suppliers who I honestly would not hesitate to recommend. I will list all who were involved at the bottom of the page.

This gallery is a mix of digital, 35mm film and Instax wide.

The Details

The day began with the details. While make-up and hair were being done in the bridal suite, I took the time to photograph the stationary, jewellery, cake and decor. We had a small table set up in Alrewas Hayes Orangery which was incredibly beautiful with the view of their courtyard and the light flooding in through the large windows. We had a focus on soft autumnal colours which came through beautifully in the flowers, the cake and the table styling.

Getting Ready

Once make-up and hair were done, we staged a few getting-ready photos up in the bridal suite. The suite itself isn't the brightest but there is a gorgeous spot by the window where the light flows in softly and is just wonderful for portraits.

Couple & Decor

Before heading out and about around the venue, we took some photos of the beautiful couple and the decor on the Orangery. It is such a romantic space and with the most stunning floral painting over the fireplace in the centre of the room. It felt almost as if the painting had been put there just for us with how it matched the decor so perfectly. I placed Annie & Grace (our model couple) in both seated and standing positions to make the most of the decor and table set up, and we also made sure to take photos with the cake too.

Around Alrewas Hayes

Around the venue itself are so many beautiful little spots that are perfect for photos. We started with the classic shots in front of Alrewas Hayes house itself and then explored more around the venue. The sun was shining and it created the most gorgeous atmosphere around the venue, although I just know it would be gorgeous even when raining there.

Thank you so much to Alrewas Hayes for being our venue for this shoot. I'm completely in awe of this space and if you're considering having Alrewas Hayes be your venue, I couldn't recommend it more. Of course, if you've booked your wedding and are now looking for a photographer, I would love to know! Feel free to reach out and we can talk about your dream wedding at Alrewas Hayes.
