Time can be a truly magical thing but time also flies by, sometimes so fast we barely even notice it. I truly believe photos are the best form of memory, they're always there for you to look at. They capture the small things that might fade in your mind, letting you back into the completeness of those days gone by.

What is a parenthood or pregnancy photoshoot?
Parenthood sessions can be what you would normally know as maternity and pregnancy photoshoots but parenthood sessions can be so much more than that.
I am very intentional with the language I use for these sessions as not everyone who is having a child is a mother, or is pregnant. I love for these sessions to be open to mothers, fathers, queer individuals, and parents who have gone through adoption or have gone through surrogacy.
All parents are valid and celebrated here.

My style is gentle meets wholesome, meets adventure, meets authenticity, meets the wonderful great outdoors. In my work, I really focus on creating not only beautiful photos but photos that feel like you. Photos that you can look back on and remember exactly who and how you were at the time. After all, photos are physical forms of memory.
A big part of my work is the natural world and I can't think of a better place to celebrate parenthood than with mother nature herself. I love the big places, where you can roll in the sand, run into the sea, adventure into the tallest of hills and stand on the tops of mountains. Despite this, I am also very aware that these big spaces aren't always accessible and studio/home sessions can be just as beautiful and intimate.
I am Charlotte Dormoy, a hopeful romantic, a lover of love and a storyteller who provides pregnancy, maternity and parenthood photography across the North West of England and beyond.
