They capture the small things that might fade in your mind, letting you back into the completeness of those days gone by.

What is a maternity photoshoot like?
Maternity sessions are about capturing this truly unique time in your life, whether it's your first pregnancy or your third. They are a way to celebrate you and your body, to press pause and save small moments in photos that you can look back on and remember fondly. They are a way to capture the love that you are and the love that you have.
Together, we build a session tailor made for you and you alone. I love for the photos to feel like you, for you to look back at them and know exactly who you are. I'm not here to put you copy and pasted into Pinterest poses (although we can definitely get specific shots), I'm here to capture you in all your beauty and uniqueness.
For your maternity photography, we work together to find a location that feels special to you and get to know each other so that you can feel confident that you are allowed to be your whole self in our session. Then, we just have fun creating some art.

My style is gentle meets wholesome, meets adventure, meets authenticity, meets the wonderful great outdoors. In my work, I really focus on creating not only beautiful photos but photos that feel like you. Photos that you can look back on and remember exactly who and how you were at the time. After all, photos are physical forms of memory.
A big part of my work is the natural world and I can't think of a better place to celebrate maternity than with mother nature herself. I love the big places, where you can roll in the sand, run into the sea, adventure into the tallest of hills and stand on the tops of mountains. Despite this, I am also very aware that these big spaces aren't always accessible and studio/home sessions can be just as beautiful and intimate.
I am Charlotte Dormoy, a hopeful romantic, a lover of love and a storyteller who provides pregnancy, maternity and parenthood photography across the North West of England and beyond.
