A snowy elopement story from the Lake District with Jeannie & Matty 💗

I felt like the last line of this poem really resonated with this day. The night before I had driven in harsh, snowy condition to get to the Lake District. The clouds were dark, grey and uninviting, and the roads were a little scary. It couldn’t have been more opposite to the blue skies, sun and settled snow of the following day. Getting to celebrate Matty & Jeannie, even if it was a styled shoot, on such a beautiful day when the day before had been so awful felt almost magical. As if the weather too wanted to celebrate their relationship. It really couldn’t have been more perfect 💗

I wish I had the right words for these two and a caption to encompass them. Rosa and Paul, two of the most wonderful and gentle humans I have met, who, upon meeting them, I felt truly honoured to be photographing this stage of their life. Their adventurousness, and willingness to try new and different things. Their beautiful love for each other and understanding of one another is breathtaking. I could have stayed out all night and all morning photographing them. I love when sessions fill my soul in the way this one did. Two truly magical people celebrating their pregnancy together 💗 Thank you Rosa & Paul.
